Andrea Grano completes the cast of the forthcoming off-Broadway production of Ben Andron’s White’s Lies. The comedy, which stars previously announced cast members Betty Buckley, Tuc Watkins, Peter Scolari, Christy Carlson Romano, Jimmy Ray Bennett and Rena Strober, will begin previews on April 12 and open on May 6 at New World Stages, directed by Bob Cline.
White’s Lies centers on Joe White (Watkins) who is scared stiff at the prospect of settling down, getting married and having kids. He’s a divorce lawyer, representing one of his many ex-girlfriends and above all else, he’s a bachelor who wouldn’t have it any other way. So when his mother (Buckley) desperately wants him to start a family, he’ll do the next best thing: make one up! What could go wrong?
Grano has appeared on two episodes of Brothers & Sisters (as Barbara Whitaker) and three episodes of 24 (as Ellen Price) and in movies such as Dating Games People Play and Singles Night.
The creative team for White’s Lies includes Robert Andrew Kovach (set design) Solomon Weisbard (lighting design), Michael Bevins (costume design), Nathan Leigh (sound design) and Ron Eyal (video design). The play is produced by Aaron Grant, Jana Robbins, Jeremy Handelman, Craig Haffner & Karl E. Held.
